Welcome to the "Photographers in Focus" directory

Welcome the the "Photographers in Focus" website. A site dedicated to all Professional Photographers. This site includes members profiles with contact details which are linked into our public facing site which helps people find their local photographer. Once you sign up you can upload photos and edit your profile details.

There are two types of membership to the directory; you may have a free listing in the Photographers In Focus directory and free gallery space for up to 50 images.  If you wish to upgrade to a premium membership you may do so by using the link on the directory.   The cost for 12months premium lising is £10 Clients will be able to find a photographer by searching in a specific area; for instance if a client wished to find a wedding photographer in Newcastle he will select the “Photographers in Newcastle” link.  If there are no premium members registered in the Newcastle area the client will be presented with a list of all the free members that have registered in that area.  If there are Premium members listed in the Newcastle area then the members who paid their registration fee will show at the top of the list.  Premium members will always be displayed in the order that they paid their registration.  When there are Premium members within an area the other unpaid listings will not show in the list of available photographers.  They can however still be found in the “Find a Photographer” section by searching for company names etc. As you can see if you are keen to promote your business the advantage clearly lies in getting your Premium membership in first to ensure that your name is displayed at the top of the list.

Our directory has many features:

• You can change your profile information, upload photos into your photo gallery (promoted on www.photographersinfocus.co.uk)
• Join in the photographers forum to discuss issues, problems and suggestions.  Post images and join in copetitions.
  
• Read and search the forum of messages and images sent over the last 2 years to our discussion forum.
• Read about our forum printing service service
• View many of the photographs in our online photo archive

I would also like to take this opportunity to introduce you to the photography forum I run alongside the directory. You can find it at www.photography-forum.org . It’s free to join and has nearly 1700 members.  It’s a superb place to learn and meet other photographers. You can join in competitions and post images for critique. I have found the forum not only a great place to improve my photography but a good place to make friends in our business. We spend too long locked away in the office in front of the computer!!!
